i'm glad you took the best course of action. If's he's really a friend (which i imagine he is based on his action) he probally feels bad you got towed, and was willing to shell money to help you out. Besides, it's something you too will laugh about (hopefully) later on down the line.

What I can't figure out is the enormous bill at the impound lot. According to others in this thread it shouldn't have been more than $100. I'm supsicious that there is some kind of racket going on here.
