In an Old Navy parking lot... My POS 2000 Dodge Neon blew it's front left tie rod (I assume due to the condition) while I was making a u-turn in the lot (wasn't even aggressive!). Left wheel is turned completely to the right while my right wheel is straight. Not even mad really anymore, friends took me out and made me forget all about it ;). And it's now the perfect excuse to get a car loan for the E36 M3 I planned on getting later this month. Looks like it might come a little bit early!

I hate when people say that.

But it did happen for a reason. His Neon is an old, rusty, neglected POS. :D Now he will have a shiny, new M3. Wish I had an M3.

If that's your excuse, then I say go for it, but it might take me longer to jack up that car and get it on the jack-stands then to change that tie rod end.

It sounds like he was getting the car anyway - so rather than spend $100 to extend the life a month or two, he's just getting the new car early.

Ha, I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds irony in going from a budget economy car to a high peformance luxury car.

I don't understand. You're going to fix the Neon to sell it, right?

I bet a tie rod end is like $10 for that car and maybe 20 minutes of time.

I got the car fixed this morning. I was planning on getting the M3 anyway, this was just another push for me to do so sooner because I hate this car so much...

Oh, and I'm getting an E36. It's really not that expensive, most people on here could probably afford one if they wanted to.

E36 M3's are awesome, although it's SO hard to find a clean one anymore. They used to be my dream car when I was younger... One of the ONLY cars that looks bad ass in purple.
