GR-2's are OEM replacements not built to handle stiffer, aftermarket spring rates.

great, so maybe i will get to try the AGX afterall :)

I know nothing about lowering cars, but why would you want to lower it if it makes it more uncomfortable?

better handling. less body roll into corners, and less pitch when accelerating

Yes, the trip to the walmart will be 0.02 seconds faster!! :D

blah, some people actually ENJOY driving, so making it handle better makes them happy. I'm toying with the idea of getting another car, otherwise i'd do the same with my civic (horrible body roll, everyone else that drives my car says they don't notice, but dammit it pisses me off)

IMO, the Sportlines suck. They are a not a variable rate spring like the Pro-Kit...almost everyone I've talked to that put those springs in their vehicles were very unhappy with the ride.

Here's the ride height on my '92 GT with Eibach variable rate springs with poly isolators, along with Koni Yellow's in the front, and Koni Reds in the back, and some 17" x 9" rims...

would an adjustable shocks fix (or at least lessen) the problem?

(no NutBucket, I am STILL not gonna change to AGX :))

GR-2's are OEM replacements not built to handle stiffer, aftermarket spring rates.

I'd only give them about 1 on normal driving conditions. I'm glad to see at least one person here knows GR-2s are stock replacements and not for lowered applications. The OP should do themselves a favor and buy some Koni Yellows.

Whenever my next car will be, the first thing I'd do is to lower that car.
Wheel gaps are unbearable to me.

The GR2's are actually surprisingly good for the price. Mine lasted about 3 years on my 91 MR2 turbo with H&R shocks before the performance was degredated to the point they needed replacement.

The AGX are nice for the price too, and definitely a step up. I'd personally take them over the Koni Yellow's for most applications. Öhlins, Nitron, GAB, Dynamic Suspension, and Penske are other great choices, depending on price.

well, adjustable shocks are at least 100 a piece, those GR2 are only 60. i don't want to spend too much on my current car, since i know it can't handle as well, and i will save up and spend more on a EK which has a much higher potential.

I sure as hell hope you have a fart can on the back too. You can't have a japanese car lowered without it making gawdawful noises as well.

No one ever said modding cars was cheap. One thing I've learned from mine is that there is no room to cheap out on your suspension.
