My car is gone :(

Just sold the POS, never liked it too much anyway. Decent enough car, and having A/C was nice for once, but it was an automatic, too little power, and overall just wasn't a very fun car.

On the plus side, I now have nothing to drive, so I can start drinking more and not have to worry about driving 😀

I would concur with automatic transmissions....once you enjoy a manuel its had to go back! (from experience)

'91 Camry...only had 175K on it, had a new radiator/flex pipe/timing belt/rear brakes/tune-up, all done within the last 30K miles. Drives great, just not worth taking with me next weekend when I move. I love all the people at work who have the high end cars that they pay $500+ a month for, this one guy has a brand new Eclipse or something, plus a brand new Honda motorcycle, he makes like $10/hr, his entire paycheck goes to payments/insurance. I on the other hand, paid $1500 for this car, put maybe $300 into it over a year, pay minimal insurance, and my paycheck goes to things like rent, so I don't have to live at home.

I almost lost mine today, rear wheels fish tailed in a turn and almost rolled. I ended up plowing through a yeild sign.

Bald tires, water on the road, or distracted by jailbait on the side of the road?

Water, I think my tires are going as wel, but I just had them replaced about 15K ago...

My summers are pretty much bald, two of them aren't even inspectable, so the woman who bought the car has to buy two new tires to go on the car. I drove it with them until late December, through a few snow storms, it absolutely sucked driving like that.

Camry's remind me of Timex watches and their slogan! 😀

As for those that pour his/her paycheck into car payments and the like, I don't get it, but then again, I don't need a car where I live. Public trans. is faster and I don't have to worry about DWI. 😀

If you can afford it, go for it. But if you have to live at home, not contribute to your family's finances, and sacrifice almost every penny you earn JUST to afford payments and insurance, then it's obviously the wrong move. This kid has a suspended license btw, for another 2 months, yet he drives almost everyday anyways.

Yeah, you'll see people like that (maxxed out on some depreciating asset) for the rest of your life. Pretty said sight but hopefully they'll learn.

It did indeed. Apparantly it got the buyer home too, because it's been 12 hours and no email or phone call about it dying yet 😉
