My cable is not working

I woke up from my nap today and low and behold my cable modem lights are off and my television channels are all static white. Im not sure of the problem or if it starts here or starts at rogers (my cable company) I can't live without the internet so i dial-up'd with netzero to get online since my internet is off. I wonder if theres a problem in the cable room because i fixed it up myself acouple months ago. This happen acouple hours ago too but the super said he sent someone down to fix the problem ever since i woke back up my cable is still off. I wonder if a rat bite my cable or something.
