Hi all, and thanks for taking a second to help me out....

I just built a Shuttle for my dad, and for some unknown reason, with only one hard drive in the case, the Windows XP installer would only designate that internal drive to read as an E: drive....and not C:....what gives with that?

Is there an easy way to switch the designation to what it should've been....that being C: of course, and if not, is there a downside to this situation?

I really don't want to reinstall XP and all the apps all over again, as time is kinda limited.

Thanks sincerely for any and all help,

GS

You left the front-panel card reader installed, didn't you. ;)

I'd say do the reinstall if you have time. Other than that, it won't do any harm other than being confusing.

It makes no difference what the drive designation is in widows XP. Any programs you install will default to the "E:" drive anyways, so there's no real need to change it. For the sake of familiarity though, you can change it back to C:.
