Copiously. If I sit down for an extended period of time in a non-cushioned chair, it starts sweating. And oh boy, a lot of sweat is produced. I mean ON the buttock area, not inside the crack. Rather, on the surface of the two divisions (aka buttcheeks).

Is it normal to sweat in that area? Or am I just an alien mutant freak?

You lack adequate ventilation. Start wearing kilts without underwear. The rapid rush of air from people fleeing your vicinity will create a cooling breeze.

If this is a serious question, try getting some Goldbond powder. After a shower completely dry yourself off and put some powder on your ass and neither regions. Does very well at controlling sweat and odor.

Yep, since I was a kid, but not to the point where I have a double-chin and look very big horizontally. This whole butt-sweating thing has started recently, though.

The amount I've sweated has drastically increased, recently, actually. It began with increased sweating around my underarms. Now, I sweat nearly everywhere; hands, toes, chest, underarms, and buttcheeks. I suppose it could be the whole puberty thing combined with the fact that I'm overweight.

My dad also sweats like an animal, so I guess it could also be genetic?

Edit: Although I don't sweat everywhere else unless it's exceptionally hot and humid. In Bangladesh, every time I went outside, I'd end up bathed in sweat, struggling to avoid sweat marks. Back here in Northern Virginia, it's not really that big of a problem.

Maybe try loosing a bit of wieght and try to get a bit more fit.
In time your butt might well sweat less.
If you're really worried, go and see a doctor.

Subcutaneous fat is nature's own insulation. And right now your house is telling you that you over insulated.

You have an over active sympathetic nervous system.

That said, don't sweat the petty things and don't pet the sweaty things.

when you're in a job interview, and they say, "tell me about yourself" ...
will you now be doomed to fixate on this one little detail ?
