My buddy was going to play a prank on a police office......

He was on the computer and he wanted to call his local USPS. He didn't know the phone number, so instead of dialing 411, he quickly dialed 911! DOH! He told the operator that it was a mistake, and he went back on the computer. So he's typing away.. It's dark in his house, as he was to lazy to turn the lights on. So he's typing away and he saw this flashlight beaming thru the blinds. Freaked him the hell out! It was a police officer.

So he starts grilling my buddy about the 911 call, and he told him it was a mistake. He still wanted to search my buddys house, and he gave him permission to do so. The whole situation was kinda weird though.

The police officer was acting a little weird. He got a little snow on the carpet and started to rub it out with his hand. My buddy told him not to worry about it, but he was still rubbing that snow off the floor. When he did that, his gun was dangling out in front of my buddy. My friend was going to play a joke and pretend that he was going to hold him up and grab the gun from his waist. It would have been a prank, nothing more.

What do you think would have happened? Would the cop have gone along with the prank?

Your buddy is BSing if he even pretends he'd have done that. He would have spent the night in jail and some hours in court. Very stupid prank. If I was a cop and somebody did that they'd get maced, hit in the face, and then cuffed.

Anyway I once called 911 by mistake too on a payphone thank god. The person asked where I was and I said I meant to call 411, but they said they need to come anyway. It was a payphone, so I hopped in the car and got outta there

Cops LOVE that kind of stuff! Whenever I see a police officer while I'm driving, I will usually reach under my seat and pull out my toy gun and point it at them. They always love it when they discover later that it's just a toy. Those wacky cops!

If your friend decided to do that, the cop would have probably tried to get the gun back and your friend would be on the Darwin award list. We'd also be reading on this from one of your local papers and some of us would be laughing at what an stupid thing that was to take a cops gun and try to hold him up.

Reminds me of back home. If I transpose two digits in a friend's phone number, I get the phone number for my town's police dispatch. xxx-x03x is police, xxx-x30x is Jon. Thankfully I live in a small town and the dispatcher has been very understanding the couple of time's I've done it.
