As long as his company knows what he did and doesn't have a problem with it more power to him :) If he is a real friend he'll hook you up for a fair price.

No point in being jealous of your friend. If you want a XT, buy one. If you can't afford one, learn something that pays better and afford it.
People will always have better stuff than you, no matter how rich you are.

That's about about all there is, be happy with what you have or do something about it.

Easier said than done.

My sister has $275K in student loans she has to pay back.
My brothers undergraduate education was just under $200K
I've got.... ugh I don't want to think about it. Atleast I have a cool job tho.

Don't you think this personal jab is a bit unnecessary?

The OP's comment refers to a buddy of his swapping out superior hardware for cheap hardware at his business and taking the good stuff home with him. I hope that his buddy realizes that Dell tracks hardware profiles for corporate customers for RMA/support reasons. My company is a Dell corp client and our LAN techs can simply type in a system's service tag number at Dell's corp site to get the system specs. The Dell website will ist all the parts that a system came with. It makes it easy for companies to upgrade their systems, and it also lets them know what parts are supposed to be in a system.

Wow did your sister go to school for 10 yearS? Or went to Standford or something? Even so, Stanford's Total cost for the year goes like this for their MBA program:

Application fees: US$200
Programme fees: US$36,252 per year
Accommodation costs: On Campus:US$17,646, Off Campus:US$19,275 per year
Total: $55,727 US per year (with accommodations)
LINK

So you can get your MBA in 2 years: that's $110k US; and then you have $165 grand left over? So your sister has an MBA and an LLB degree making her a Corporate Lawyer that probably makes $1 million bucks a year? I am not saying I don't believe you, but I am just curious. Of course if you are a Corporate lawyer from one of those schools you woldnt worry about repaying your debts now will you?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wow I wish he gave one of those XTs away to me hehe
The question is why would someone order such top of the line videocards for their company, unless they actually did want that hardware in there? hmm...I hope your friend doesnt get in trouble.
Absolutely right, but I suspect that his buddy will be long gone from the gig before they renew those boxes, if they even look inside them.
Kinda sad that he's jealous of fraud, but I guess ethics are pretty much out of style these days.:disgust:
Then again, it's a Dell... It might break next week...
