My browser trembles and I want it to stop.

I really don't know how else to describe this problem. I am using Firefox v2.0. For the past 2 days I have been getting a very strange problem about half of the time when viewing web pages. All text and graphics on the web page appears to jump up a couple of pixels and then jump down again, perhaps completing around 4 cycles per second. The text and the icon in the address bar move as well, but no other part of the browser GUI or anything else exhibits this behavior. It looks similar to when the vertical hold on a TV is slightly out of adjustment.

I tried googling for an answer to this, but I didn't really know what to search for. Any help would be appreciated; it's giving me a headache.

I have had the same problem with firefox but that was only while running it under windows vista on any version of the os. I went back to xp installed firefox and works fine.

Problem solved. The problem was due to a bug in Firefox. Apparently if you move your bookmarks toolbar up next to the command menu (just to the right of Help) and then remove all links from the bookmarks toolbar folder, then you get the browser shake problem. Move the bookmarks toolbar and it goes away.
