My brothers birthday is coming up... and he collects baseball cards

my brothers birthday is coming up and i wanted to buy him a box of cards on ebay or something. he's always showing me these cards he gets of the bats wood or a piece of a players jersey, i have no idea what they are or whatever.. the last time I collected cards, Topps packs were 50 cents and came with a hard piece of gum, and upper decks were .75 and i pulled a few Ken Griffey Jr. rookie cards out of them...

anyway I want to spend around 50-75 bucks but will go all the way up to 100.

Best suggestion is to look for a hobby shop and ask around. I've been out of the loop for a while as well, and don't know what the hell you're talking about.
 
Ask hobby shop A what would be good. He tell you XXX for $XXX

go to hobby shop B (pretend you know the stuff) and ask for XXX.

so you can confirm the price

mint condition mickey mantle. since baseball is waning, you can get it cheap now
