2 months? Funk dat. There are no lemon laws anywhere that would protect the buyer after that long.
 
$2500 lol He should have just bought an aftermarket cat and had an exhaust shop weld it in. Probably could have done it for under $200.
 
I'm going to agree with the idea that its up to the buyer to inspect the parts of the car. obviously if he passed emissions its ok, he wasn't polluting and the car was burning fuel efficiently like it would even with the cat as what some people don't believe. personally i would be asking about what parts are not standard and why they weren't in the car. he stated that they weren't normal.
