I don't think BoomerD is an illegal immigrant, so no he shouldn't be deported. Also, to those who say we should all be deported since we illegally reside on Native Americans' land, screw you. We fought them in a long series of skirmished and won. If they want to take it back, they're welcome to try.

Much of the American Southwest was originally Mexican...and they ARE taking it back...one anchor baby at a time...

The amount of downright ignorance being displayed in this thread is both scary and disgusting.

Well maybe what we need here is for your brother to get married and make his wife a citizen, if she isnt. There might be better benefits being legally married. Getting the rest of the family citizenship or a greencard might be a bit harder. This might be a bit better than just calling INS who might or might not do something about it. Maybe also your brother could be brought up on charges or his relatives may try to take revenge on you.

Mixing family and police can be a very drastic and dangerous action to take. Police tend to make matters worse. It might be possible that some aid agencies or churches might give some support to your brothers situation.

You have to decide what you want to do. Many people are in family relationships which are hard financially and can bring hardship. It is hard to say what the best plan of action is. Maybe you should find some kind of stay at home job for some of your new relatives.

Once the Mexicans take over here, and it becomes as bad as Mexico, the march north will continue and Canada is next.

I agree with the suggestion of a call to ICE. Brother is in over his head and won't/can't fix the mess. You are his brother, you need to help get the cleanup started, and it starts with getting rid of the garbage.

I don't want to pretend to know the ins and outs of the US legal system.

But OP, are you sure your brother will not get into any trouble himself if the authorities are called in?
Perhaps you should research any legal ramifications that may come from this before shopping your brothers GF family to the bobby's

Personally, I would call INS without my brother's knowledge. We all know that sometimes people won't listen to reason when they are in love -- and it's pretty obvious your brother isn't thinking like a reasonable person. It's very possible that he will not resolve the situation himself after speaking with him, and it would be pretty obvious who called INS if you talk with him, he does nothing, then INS swoops in right after.

If you aren't willing to take the optimal solution, then you're a pretty shitty brother if you don't at least discuss it with him. Your brother needs a wake up call, or have it directly brought to his attention that he needs to make preparations to avoid getting completely screwed. Like I said, sometimes people just don't think about that shit, so he might not even realize it.

Hey, if you're going to be a dick about this situation don't go half-assed about it. Is harboring illegal aliens a crime? Could it cause him problems with the UCMJ? Does he have a security clearance at all? Perhaps all those financial problems he's having are posing a bigger problem. You should just call up his command and report him that way and totally fuck him over. Get the ball rolling on all the investigations he's due. It's not like you can just talk with your brother about it and try to help him work through it.

Or your mom and all of you can stop being enablers and not lend the fucker money to piss away on his extended family.

OP, do you actually know that they're illegal, or are you making assumptions because of their shitty family situation and lack of English skills?

Also, are you prepared to not only lose your relationship with your brother, but also put him in a legally vulnerable position, and possibly whatever other wrath/fallout will come from the rest of your family over this?

Perhaps you ought to actually talk to him.

I despise illegals almost as much as the Americans who welcome them in.
BUT, I would never fuck over my brother. I'd just hate him forever.

Jim has been with Jane for seven years, so obviously he loves her. As his brother, the best thing you can do is have a talk with him.

length of relationship does not always correlate to level of affection.

Do you guys really go out of your way to report people who you think are illegal immigrants? LoL. A third of my friends are illegal and not all Mexican.

I'll drop a dime on an illegal immigrant in a heartbeat...especially if I know they're doing other illegal things.

If they're working, either they're working for cash and not paying taxes, or they're committing a crime by using someone else's social security card...either way, they're committing a crime.

I'm in no way that close to my family and I wouldn't dream of calling the government in on one of them unless serious abuse or murder were in play.

And if they're not? Hell the entire Vietnamese community here has come up with various ways to avoid taxes and abuse the social welfare system but no one has said a thing. These are the citizens. Just because they are illegal citizens doesnt mean they are all out committing crimes.

It seems like Jane does not respect Jim, is using him, and is boning him dry of his money. Jim's future is being taken from him one step at a time by this girl. You and your family need to pull Jim aside and talk to him about your concerns. It sounds like she will take everything from him at a crucial point in his life when he is young and working hard to put things together. This situation will destroy his life whether she stays with him or leaves him. Jim will end up a worn out shell of nothing if your family does not step in and help him. She must go.

The "boat people" have always gotten away with shit that would put other citizens in jail for years.
