Like a city moron I went out there in shorts and sandals, because I honestly hadn't considered the possibility of being devoured by microscopic sycophants.
Anyway, fast forward ~12 hours and I wake up feeling like someone beat me with one of those tiny wooden bats you get at baseball games. I have huge welts all over my legs and the side of my body, and they are so numerous that they look like a solid mass at a short distance.
I don't know unequivocally that it was mites, but I can only assume it was some microscopic Arachnida constituent. I didn't think they could cause this level of damage.
I didn't want (sy|e)mpathy, but I would like to know if anyone has ever experienced such a thing. Also, the wine is turning out nicely thanks for my suffering.
