BMW invited owners of the new 6 series out to the performance center in Greenville, SC
All you had to do is get there and you?re treated to a 2 day event with all expenses paid for.

Arrival Day- Dinner at the Marriot I had time to burn so I went shopping.

Event Day One- Breakfast then drive on the BMW Performance Center track with professional drivers on the skid pad and slalom and time trials, of course I pulled the lowest time in the group at 25.something seconds the pros can get it down to 21.
We then took a drive up the interstate to the Grove Park spa/inn located in Ashville, NC cars valet parked check into your room and have cocktail reception and dinner.

Event Day Two- Breakfast then check in for your appointed massage or facial at the spa. :)
Departed the grove park drove on a few twisty roads then lunch at the La Bastide in the middle nowhere.
Immediately after leaving, this older gentleman in the group almost killed himself and his passenger a younger kid.
I was 2 cars behind and saw the car flip in the air just like in the movies it looked bad until I got closer and saw the car upside down in the bushes.
We ran down to check there health and they were all ok minus the bloody face from hitting is head on the rear view mirror and the passenger was ok but was complained about stomach pain.

The trip was cool otherwise, check the photos here.
I never seen that many M3, M5 and Z8.

Wow, never realized they had a test track over there in Greenville/Spartanburg. Makes sense though. Also never realized how a 6 series looks like a porsche with the decklid up.

Well we were all going fast but nothing your everyday driver can't handle.
He went off the road and tried to get back on but ran out of space off he went it was the craziest thing I ever saw and when the car was in the air I thought they were gonners.

Happens on a weekly basis up in north GA. Some tard in a sports car or on a bike gets surprised by a corner and ends up in a gully somewhere.

Why would it make you angry that someone chose not to wear his own seatbelt, endangering no one but himself?

Not from Greenville or Asheville but I just graduated from Clemson and my grandparents live about 30 minutes from Asheville. I love the area and I'd really like to move back up that way if I can get a job in the Greenville area. I hate Columbia :p

Looks like you had a good time outside of that crash, though. Beautiful area.

I am from Greenville SC.

its a nice town i enjoyed my self there and the people are nice.

I've been living here for a while...it definitely is a nice place to live. Not only is the Michelin North American Headquarters and a BMW plant here, but they are building an automotive research facility that BMW, GM, IBM, Microsoft, and many others are participating in it.

Should be a good place to get a job in the automotive industry in the upcoming years.

Don't know if I will be staying around here for much longer (itching to move), but I could see myself coming back at some point.
