Direct quote from a Limp Bizkit concert I just had endure on the radio on the way to the grocery store.
Fred Durst was the most tone-deaf "musician" that I have ever heard in my life. It sounded like a cat screeching because its tail got stepped on. I'm not kidding. It was horrible!
I stayed out of the whole "who likes Limp Bizkit" thing before, even though I'm not a big fan, but this was too much.

Bizkit is not only limp, but also suck.

AMEN to that. I think limp is only famous because SOMEONE LOST A BET. There really couldn't be another possible explanation for it I think.

I bet you wouldn't after the live versions...

My dogs could do it better than that.

yeah they are pretty nasty live. a good band can play well live and still sound great without sh!tloads of editing afterwards.

They do suck live. Friends of mine who have bought there CD's and have gone to their concerts even say that. Some of these guys are/were big fans and yet they admit that the live show leaves alot to be desired.

PCAddict - ... or how about just "They do suck"? Why would anyone subject themselves to this nonsense.

Good point, mosdef. :)

Limp Bizkit was interesting to me for about 5 minutes. The first time I saw the video for their cover of George Michael's Faith I thought it was kinda cool because it was different. Now, I realize that all of their songs sound pretty mich the same, except they are getting worse.

I am going to start this reply by saying that I AM a fan of Limp Bizkit. With that, here goes.

First off, from reading a recent interview with Fred Durst by MTV, found here, it states the following (check it out yourself if you want, I'm directly cutting and pasting):

MTV: Since there was a Family Values Tour album, would you consider doing an Anger Management Tour album? It's such a great lineup.

Durst: F---, no. Dude, we suck live. We're not out there making an effort to sound killer for you. We're feeding off your energy and getting into a moment and having a moment with you. You know what I mean? It's a rock show. We're singing the songs I wrote a year ago, and the only way I can feel 'em like I wrote 'em is for you to be feeling them and show me how you're feeling, and I feed off of that and I go back to where I was. I sound like sh-- and we're missing drumbeats, 'cause we're so overwhelmed by the energy and the moment. That's why we suck live. That's why there's no live Limp Bizkit record. [RealVideo]

MTV: So after shows, you guys don't sit around and go, "Dude, the guitars were too loud," or anything like that?

Durst: Hell, no. Dude, we're a rock band, and we're out to feed off the energy and if there's no energy, the show's gonna suck. I mean, bottom line. That's why we don't do TV shows for you guys or anybody without a crowd. Gotta have some kids there, or we ain't doing it. It's so stupid to sit in front of some cameras. That's what's so hard about doing a video, for us to do conceptual videos and performances, because it's so hard to feel that energy and feed that energy when you're just sitting in front of cameras and some camera guys.

All this proves is that they know they suck. It's just about the energy of being there, not just hearing it.

Second of all, DesignDawg says:

<< I think limp is only famous because SOMEONE LOST A BET. There really couldn't be another possible explanation for it I think. >>

I would probaly say the same thing about whatever group you liked the most, be it the Spice Girls or Vanilla Ice :)

That's utter bullsh!t, and an insult to all the bands that are able to play very well in a live setting.

Every Limp song sounds the same. Fred can't rap. They are all dicks, Fred first and foremost.

I am sick of "cut and paste" music. That's where these "artists" just put the same junk out year after year. If you are putting out more than one record a year, you probably suck. I'm talking to you Limp, Eminem, Jay-Z, DMX, etc.
