My (Biological) Dad was busted in a big drug sting earlier this week....

He's always been involved in that scene, and was in state facilities for a while a couple years ago, and in and out of prison prior to that. Never in my craziest notions would I have though he'd have been involved in something of this scale. He's the first guy listed in the suspects that were apprehended. *sigh* Not sure really what to think of it, I hardly talk to him, but I try to make it a point to go see him when I'm in hawaii to visit. Supposedly he had been going to school and getting back on track with things. I guess deep down, I could tell that it wasn't the full deal, but I didn't really want him to prove me wrong.

At any rate, considering the scale, and the involved authorities, he's looking at serving hard time in a Federal Facility here on the mainland. His old girlfriend apparently said he's looking at serving in the neighborhood of 10 years.....

Thanks guys. It's hard to say, "good thing they were caught" cuz for us, it's really sad. Everyone in our family at one point or another have offered him help, to get things on track, and all of have hoped at one point or another that he'd turn things around. Leaves you with a feeling of wonder. Wondering if there was anything else I/we could have done or said that would've made things happen differently.

It is a GOOD thing that he was caught though. Hell, he should be shot, bringing that crap in the US. What an asshole, I could care less if he were your dad or not, he was brining in ILLEGAL substances into the US, and did you check out their weapons? I only feel sorry for you for having such a screwed up dad.
