Just found in my inbox today a beta invite for Cities XL. Alas, I can tell you about the fact that I've been invitated... but no further. I have to abide by an NDA once I actually agree to test it (which I haven't yet).

Not sure what the count puts me up to at this point, probably about 20 betas so far this year. Man they're handing them out like candy these days!

Any how, if anyone wants me to look into anything in particular, let me know. Granted, I can't openly discuss anything about the game once I start tooling around with it, but I'd like to at least know what people are looking for out of it so that I know where to focus my testing and input.

I have high hopes for this game, always loved sim games. Hence, I'll be taking this one a little more seriously than some other betas.
 
that's cool, I keep checking for news on it. last I saw there was a Europe release date in September but no US release date yet.

anything you can tell us would be awesome, but I know you have to follow the NDA.
 
I thought this was about an actual exploit in the cities XL beta 😛

Ive also got high hopes for this, with simcity dead in the water it looks like a great replacement, not catering exclusively to the casual gamer.
 
I'd like to know how the 'mini-games' work like the ski resort, how it ties into the main game.

Love to know how multiplayer works since it's suppose to be MMOish.

The buildings look growable like Sim City has always been, but the last city game M.C. did was drop in type of buildings so does Cities XL have true growable buildings?
 
I am definitely interested in how CitiesXL turns out.
SC2k was a favorite of mine back when it came out, but I could never get into the newer ones as much.
