I feel bad for him.. we're roommates and apparently taking a dump is excruciating ... he's been dealing with it for like 5 months. He's been going to a doctor but apparently nothing is helping much.

Anyone have it, and know of any forums or anything with people that have it?

The doctors suspected for a while that my friend had Crones' disease...but it ended up being something else, thankfully.

I had a cousin that had Crone's disease and it is some messed up stuff. She had to have a large chunk of her lower intestines removed, she almost died. It is a nasty disease.

My cousin has it, as well as one of my friends. Stress makes it flare up, so college is going to be hard on him. It usually leads to a gradual surgical removal of the small intestine over many years.

Crohn's disease is not caused by emotional distress.

Feel bad for your friend, because it can be a rotten thing to live with. But some people have only mild symptoms.

I wasn't insinuating that it is. However, stress hormones do make its symptoms worse.

Crohn's disease is an autoimmune disease that affects the entire gastrointestinal tract with skip lesions that can perforate your gut and form fistulas (connect to other organs)

DUDE! I also have Crohn's disease. So does my sister. I was diagnosed earlier this year. I'm taking 23 pills a day right now.

Bruno, what meds you on?

Pentasa at the moment. I'm doing pretty good right now. Have been for about 2 weeks. Been the best it has been in several years.

I'm guessing you are on Pentasa or Asacol, given the number.

At least I meet my deductible early in the year :disgust:

Crapping a toilet full of bloody pooh can be a bit alarming.

I'm down on pill count right now, but have been in the low 20s myself. It sucks :(

Nothing does any good. Doesn't matter what I eat, what meds I take, etc.

Real sh!tty (ha ha!)

I have a friend who has Crohns. It sucks. I can sorta relate as I have IBS, well, at least we joke a lot about bad craps i.e. "Montezuma's Revenge"
