Best friend died in 1993 in a climbing accident. Something like that never quite leaves you.

I've lost a total of 13 close friends that died before the age of 21.

I'll never forget the day I saw my best friend (Immanual) brought out of the water, after he spent 2 days smashing up against the rocks face first.

Another friend (Rick) was robbed outside of a bar, stripped of his clothing beat up, knocked out and stuffed inside of a snow bank where he died.

Tommy hung himself, Mike died of heart complications just playing basketball, Courtney died of Carbon Monoxide poisoning, Fay was just recently stabbed to death by her ex boyfriend over like 400 dollars killing her and the child she was carrying after he tried breaking her neck "like how they do it in the movies", Jordan died of cancer, and I could go on and on but what good would that do?

You learn it's life. It's apparent in all species, humans are no exceptions.

Admittedly I'm pretty jaded but there is no escaping life and death. So relax a little. Go outside and enjoy the nice day for the both of you (or all 13 of them), keep them in your hearts and move on with life.

I read this thread and I smiled because I thought of friends I've lost that I honestly don't think that much about anymore. This thread brought back some great memories on a beautiful day, and that's how it should be.

Cathy was 11 when she pulled the plug

Bobby got leukemia, 14 years old

He was a friend of mine

Wow how's this for irony...

I just got a call asking if I've seen Jesse in the neighborhood. Another kid I grew up with. I haven't.

Word is he just OD'd and died.

my best friend, Danny Campbell die in 1996 of an embolisim in his brain, it was a very sudden death while we were in class. He was dead before he even made it to the hosipital. I still have hoorible visons of seening him just colapse in his seat beside..he was only 17.
We were like brothers, we did almost everything together, it was danny who got me started in computers back in 1992, showing me Wolfenstien 3D on his mighty 386sx.

Rest in peace my friend.
