My Bestbuy Console Experience

I was at bestbuy checking out some tv's. I walked by the 3 consoles on display.

The wii was at a black error screen complaining about the disc. Wanting it ejected and cleaned or something.

The ps3 was locked up stone cold in a game. Completely unresponsive. Not paused.

The xbox 360 was the only console that was working. Someone was playing Gears of War on it.

Wish I would have videoed it. I could have been sued by sony and paid by microsoft all for the the same thing.

Weird I went to best buy on Sunday, the ps3 was frozen and the wii had an error, and the x360 was the only one working too.

You live in Texas so I know it was not the same store.

EDIT: That being said one of my 360s did die 2 days ago. Waiting for box to send it to MS.....

People keep saying this stuff but I never see any of it happening at any of my 4 local BestBuys. Wierd.

Oh and I have had no issues with either of my 2 PS3, nor either of my 2 Xbox 360's...well, one of the 360's likes to freeze up while playing Gears somewhat irregularly for some reason? Meh, doesn't happen enough to be a major issue.

i've seen several ps3 demo units that were showing a frozen screen. have only seen an actual wii demo kiosk at gamestop; the ones at BB have been showing a gameplay video.

heh last time at best buy

PS3: Working no one playing
Wii: Working no one playing
X360: Working no one playing
PS2: Ton of people playing/watching Guitar Hero 2

We should market a wii controller that is inside of a real bowling ball!

i thought EB/Gamestop were the only ones with playable Wii demos since the remote isn't attached to the kiosk

people cause enough damage with just the wiimote. Nintendo doesn't need people flinging bowling balls around their living room.

Correct for at least Best Buy. The Wii just plays a demo disc.

As for the PS3, i've seen em lock up quite a bit. But, the one my dad purchased and I was able to play while home for Christmas never locked up once.

I was walking outside

I walked by a pile of snow

Then I had to walk around a puddle of melted snow.

Its still cold outside

its cold inside. the air conditioner is stuck on. cold air is all around me.

Ya, because there were NO bad 360s when it was released more than a year ago. Not a single consumer has seen the Red Circle of Death.

funny, they work in stores where no one can touch them but they brick and overheat and die when people use them at home.
