Talked to too many MCSEs this week and decided to lay out a little "manual" for those not too arrogant to listen:

http://www.systemlogic.net/agurusworld/17/

I liked it so much, I put it up on SystemLogic.

As my friend johnny Husfield (notice the "h" in johnny, unlike my name) said after sucessfully trying to figure out how to get his DVD player to work in Win2K: "Thank goodness I'm an MCSE. Good thing most others don't look to deep."

Dead serious.

Enjoy.

PS: I've got a new rant for the OT crowd brewing for tomorrow morning. Title: "Customers are like Crack Babies". Those offended by crack baby analogies need not apply.

Heh, I just quit my help desk job to study full time to get an MCSE. Any website offhand that are good resources (more then just those braindumps). Btw, just reading your article. Good Read! Are you the same JonnyGURU from the AmdZone Forums? Tx.

jonny, you lived in Vero? Dude, why did you leave it? I love that place! No people, large waves, open and empty expansions of beach! It is the epitomy of beaches. Also, you proved my little theory about someone who claims to understand everything about something can never learn anything more about it.

AMD Junkie,

You forgot no place to go after dark, old people driving the wrong way and crappy cable tv.

AMD Junkie: I'm with yakko on the Vero assessment. Awesome place to visit. Nice beach. But there's no night life and most "needs" are met by going out of town, although it's not so bad anymore since they now have a Lowes, Home Depot and Target out West of town.

Mister T: Yeah. More philosophical. Maybe that's why I like it. :p It just rolled off my fingers and onto the screen. That's how some of my best stuff ends up happening. Case and point: Zen and the Art of Auto Maintainence.

KevinH: Don't think there is more than one jonnyGURU. ;)

I'm an MCSE+I and pursuing Security as sort of an elective (god, I feel like I'm putting myself through school voluntarily hehe).

I like this quote the best:

<< "I have not seen everything and anything is possible." >>

Because it's sooooo true. I thought I was the sh!t until this guy showed me what's up about a year and a half ago. Since then I've been trying to learn as much as I can about as many things as possible, and it's A LOT.

And he doesn't know everything either, but he certainly knows a damn lot more than I do.

I'm glad to see that I've struck a familiar chord. ;)
