my belief in God is wavering...

after all these years of defending religion and what not, i'm starting to change. i've already thrown out organized religion out as a bunch of crap, although I still believe in God, but i think I only believe because of fear. I suppose that's how it's always been (belief of fear).

do you believe out of fear or what?

Nope, I've given up. Why would i believe in a judeo-christian god who lets billions of people who dont believe in him... to go to hell. What is hell anyways? have any of you been therE? can you prove its existance?

I found it too difficult to believe in something out of fear. When you do finallly overcome this fear and throw down the shackles for good, you will find a cathartic liberation that can be very overwhelming. Like a blind man exposed and able to see light for the first time.

Yeah, I believe I know the basics of being Agnostic (in the middle) but I assume they go to hell too so I don't know.

Many here will use this thread to post their on certainty on what is a personal matter, and will be glad to berate you if you dont agree with them. In other words you won't get a good answer here. Another thing that bugs me that I think someone brought up: it's not right that you should have to go to hell for not believing. I mean, we didn't ask to be born into this world, we didn't have a choice so now we are forced into believing something or either suffer eternal damnation?

Moslems believe that Jews and Christians and everyone except Moslems are going to hell.

So regardless of which God you believe, you're going to Hell.

You might as well stop believing because it's not like it will make any difference.

i'm atheist and agnostic, so lemme just get that out of the way

but i dunno, i'm not a disbeliever because i think it is unfair. if you think about it, who said life has to be fair? nothing says god has to be perfect, nothing says that everything is just. the only reason i don't believe in god is because i just don't. no reason for it, i just don't feel the love

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't Muslims believe that Christians and Jews are going to heaven? And don't Jews believe Christians go to heaven? Please excuse me if I'm not up to date on my who's going to hell list.
