Same here. A firm mattress with a couple inches of foam on top is perfect for me.

Yeah, check out a Casper, you might be surprised (>$1k). I have a regular foamie (Bob-o-Pedic haha) & it is fabulous, I sleep so much better. Probably the two best personal investments I've made are a good foam bed & fitted New Balance shoes...sleeping & walking in comfort now +1

It's affordable and has to help out somewhat.

I actually liked it, I like a firmer mattress. I will give the Casper credit, it was cool.

I now know what she wants. She wants 12+ inches, and the Tempurpedic effect of laying in a thick cloud of foam. Looking at Cost-Co now.

I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth trying Casper, Brooklyn Bedding or Tuft and Needle since we didn't like the Leesa. Not sure where to go from here.

Go to a read bed store and figure out what you want. Then find the best deal on that kind of mattress.

That's what we did with the first mattress. A local company called The Original Mattress Factory. But laying on a matress for 10 minutes just isn't good enough because eventually we weren't happy. I may rotate through these online places and see if any of them work. I know with Brooklyn Bedding they offer multiple firmless levels.

We ended up with a 3" gel foam topper on our 10 year old coil spring serta. It worked well except it retained too much heat. If it wasn't for the heat issue we would still be using that combo.

Ours didn't have a fancy cover like the one linked, it was basically enclosed by a thin sheet. Maybe a nicer cover would have helped the heat issue.

Memory foam + latex makes it cool and comfortable, 120 day guarantee where they will call the Salvation Army and come pick it up and donate it if you don't like it for whatever reason, and no middle man (direct factory sale) made it the all-around best buy.

We've had our Casper for over a year and love it. It is so freaking comfy.

Got my king bed from walmart. Was $300 and came in a box too. Not memory foam though, but actual springs. Ended up paying an extra $100 for a 4 inch memory foam topper though.

I have a Casper mattress and while I like it you could get a mattress just as good locally for a bit cheaper. It is rather firm and might take a bit to get used to, if you like a softer mattress I would not recommend it.

They *do* have a good return policy but if you don't like it good luck getting the mattress back in the box.

Had not heard of Casper or the other brands in this thread, but we just went with a Tuft & Needle. Cheaper, course no latex, and same return policy (looks like all the online stores standardized, which is nice). Should find out today what it's like!

Now i have another company to look into in a couple months when we upgrade to a king size. So far Tuft & Needle, Casper and now this one. This one is a bit pricer but about $500. Decisions, decisions

Add Leesa to that list. We ended up purchasing the Leesa after looking over the reviews. We came from a waterbed and both like the Leesa.
