I will get the cd drives and hard disks from compusa. Is 7200 rpm a decent speed nowadays?

Are these parts ok? I want to be able to play games very well and im hoping this will last me a few years. My old rig has lasted me three years. It is a MSI 4x agp mobo, ati radeon 9700 pro, 512 ram, athlon xp 1700. To get my new comp i gotta give this one to my bro.

Is the LIMITED EDTITION evga 6800 a good card? I hope it isnt like the crap SE radeons.
I cannot afford to get the the best of the best. I hope i can get sum advice and feedback on this system. If any of thes eparts should be swapped out for others, please say so. THanks in advance!

Well, I think that case looks like ass. But thats a matter of personal opinion. I would recommend spending another $30 and getting something like an Antec Sonata.

The CPU is a pretty good buy, and I am guessing the MB is as well. Though I don't know enough about the current AMD chipsets so I'll let others comment on that.

i dont like the case wither but from what i understand, it is supposed to be a good case

the mobo is good, i have one, but i wuld recommend nforce 250 if you are planning on OCing

try to squeeze a gig of ram in there

I would personally go with this board great overclocking options and a good price
VNF-3

An if you want this computer to last I would go with a gig of ram too. It is pretty much required to play all of the newest games.

get the gig of ram. the vid card is great. 7200 is the standard for hard drives these days. you might want to go with a socket 939 athlon 64- otherwise, it looks great. personally, i find that you never pay attention to the case after a week or so- if youre going to spend decent money on one, go with something functional. id recommend the antec sonata, its pretty well known for being very quiet.
