My "backspace" key somehow turned into "caps lock"

I have a Microsoft Wireless natural keyboard and mouse. Something weird happened to my keyboard. Every time I push backspace, it works, but it also acts like a "CAPS lock" button. The light for caps lock on my wireless sensor comes on every single time back space is pushed. Also, whenever I push the right-shift key, mozilla firefox myseriously opens.

I did not make any changes whatsoever. I do not download anything strange and always keep virus scanners and am very careful not to download spyware.

I tried shutting down and unplugging the keyboard and mouse but it did not help. What do you suggest I try? Thanks.

Have any friends that would screw with your computer as a prank?

I spilled about 3 very litle drops of water on it about two days ago, but the problem just occured today. So it doesn't seem that would be the reason.

Sounds like a strech, but I would still make sure it is good and dry... Do you have another PC to try it out on and/or another keyboard to try in this one?

Once I had a keyboard do really weird things after I spilled a tiny bit of water on it. The right CTRL button kept doubling as a "Y" button, and there were other similar happenings. So a little water can affect the circuitry mapping of a keyboard. Luckily it was a cheap Labtec and I replaced it.
