i decided my back to school present for this year was going to be a new watch. Old Orchard Mall is near around here, and marshall field's sells fossil watches for $65. Is that good? Or am i being jipped? i can only go to a store and buy it, since my good parents are going to be paying for this :)

ah, well they make like 300 watches, so it depends on what model you're getting. If you like the way it looks, then $65 isn't all that much for a watch.

Thats what I paid for mine straight from fossil.com. Mine is one of the mid-size blue watches with a blue face. I've had it 3 years at least and I continue to wear it, no complaints at all.

Is Fossil any good? Two words: Hell yes!

Fossil watches are VERY nice, and $65 is a great price on it. If I'm correct, that is around the price that most Fossil's start, and of course they have more that are more expensive. I have owned a Fossil for a couple years now, and will NEVER buy another brand. I love Fossil.

$65 is MSRP for their Blue series and some of their other watches. It's no deal but you're not getting ripped off. Everywhere sells them for $65, the only place that doesn't is eBay

While you're at the store also look at the skagens. They don't cost much more than a fossil but they look much nicer, at least thats how it was at the store I was at.

I LOVE Fossil watches. I own three of them. I think the most expensive was $120. The other two were given to me by girlfriends. They were $65 watches, but honestly I like them better than most of the other watches I've seen.

does the battery drain faster on these because of the flashing colors?

Yea, I have a skagen. I never really understood why everyone likes Fossil, it's too common for me.

The breaking of the bands is my only complaint. It seems to happen too frequently. But, they're certainly a good value. I'd recommend them.

I've MURDERED my [fossil] watch MANY TIMES OVER in terms of the damage that it has taken. It has scratches but has served me FLAWLESSLY for years:cool:
