My back hurts like a BITCH!!!

I made the stupid mistake of not getting low enough on a tackle during football practice and felt somethin hurt in my back...i can barely freakin bend over now...its my lower back to and i have scoliosis(sp?)...any suggestions on some stretches or something to take to make it feel better??

try some TigerBalm and Extra Stength Doans. I have a special table that allows me to stratch out the back. But if it is really hurting you might want to see a doctor. They have sports doctors that can give you specific and safe exercises to make it feel better and strengthen those muscles to prevent future injury.

luckily i do have a cute girl who is willing but she sux at massages and would probably paralize me

Once I discovered what a great masseur my husband is, I have had many more sports injuries. In fact, just two days ago I threw the football too hard or too much and needed "treatment" :D

my coaches always emphasized staying low and keeping your head up but my first day of practice sucked, it was boring as hell
i would go to your athletic trainer and get it checked out before going to the doctor

a good way to strech your lower back is to lay flat on the floor with your legs elevated on a chair (with knees bent). It takes some of the pressure out of the lower back area. learned the trick from the doctor after I was checked late after scoring a goal in a hockey game and sliding uncontrolled tailbone first into the boards (a breakaway that really pissed the defenseman off). never have felt my legs tingle like that, and hope I never do again...hope it feels better.
