As well as I with my 1.85 Barton. However my problem is my un-updated bios on my Kt333.

Yep, says my 3200+ Barton is a Duron but the extra cache gave a little boost in score so I'm not complaining.

Seriously, who cares. If the performance is the same, and it detects support for all the proper extensions, who cares if it's detected as an Intel 8088?

My (Palomino) AthlonXP is detected both by my motherboard, and Windows XP, as an Athlon 4 (The early mobile version of the Palomino). But the performance is still there, all the extensions are still there (The Athlon 4 supports them anyhow), so I just don't care.

I don't know what the problem is, but it seems to happen quite frequently. Look at theproject compare part of the ORB and you will see many processors recorded as Durons that obviously are not.

Well, I guess it doesn't. The computer runs fine and gets better benchmarks than my 1.6 ghz P4. The only reason why I was concerned was because this was the first system I ever built myself and I wanted to make sure I didn't screw up on anything.

I tried wincpuid and it says that it is an athlon Xp 2500+ L1-I Cache- 64K , L1-D Cache - 64K, L2 Cache - 512K

thats seems to be right because the Bartons have 128 L1 Cache and 512 L2 cache.

I checked the futuremark score records and a lot of people do have their Athlons detected as Durons, so I guess its 3dMark's problem, not mine.

Well, my 2400+ (TBred B, needless to say) is detected as an unknown AMD processor. The reason? I would guess that it's because Thoroughbreds and Bartos weren't out back then...So as long as you get good performance don't worry about it.
