My Asus T100 touch screen is not working, Please help

Hi all,
My Asus T100 2 in 1 touch screen is not working, the key board and the touch pad is ok. Can Windows 8.1 or any other software cause that? or is the hardware issue? anyone has any experience on this problem?

Update; I installed windows updates and reboot the computer, The touch screen working again. Thanks.

Yes, it is a pretty frustrating error. Had to help someone with it earlier this month but glad you got it working!
