They decided to destroy the abandoned house next door at the same time the management scheduled a sandblasting/re-stucco for this building. It was worse yesterday, though, but it's still not pretty:

It's such a strange sight to me to see bars over windows. Around here NOBODY has bars on their windows.

If you go into downtown Portland you can find areas with bars, but I've never lived in an area like that.

I live in Downtown LA.. 2 blocks from USC, just south of the Staples Center. Not a great area.
Yesterday all the windows and doors were covered in plastic too. Looked like a quarantine zone.

Yeah downtown LA near USC is a relatively bad area..
