My altec lansing ACS48 system doesn't work right, did the fuse blow or what?

well, i have it plugged in, but i can't turn it on. sometimes when i unplug and plug it in again, it turns on. but it totally STOPPED working. and before when i was able to get it on by plugging in the cable, i could not lower the volume, or turn off the system. i was only able to raise the volume. what the hell is this? is my fuse blown or what? it was working fine like a week ago.
