All of a sudden Im getting tons of mail returned to me that I never actually sent.

The headers show my address as the "return-path", but the "from" address is some random one.

No solution other than to hope it stops?
Will I get labelled as a spammer?

It's a business address email address I'd rather not change.

Was this email account tied to Outlook or some other email client on your PC?

Possibilities:
1. Someone spoofed your email address
2. Your computer is a spam zombie

Either way, I would run antimalware scans (follow the removal steps in the link below):

The most likely cause is that someone is just spoofing your address and there's either a misconfiguration in your mail server, or just something you'll have to wait out.

It's definitely spoofing cos the address they used is an alias, so no actual mail server exists..

Still a very big pain, but filters seem to be helping.

Fortunately, most of the spam filters out there today are probably catching the spoofed emails. They're typically smart enough to do it and know it's not your fault so you don't get blacklisted either.

Same thing happened to me last night, about 1100 bounced messages in my inbox this morning.
So the only thing I can do is hope the spammers don't spoof my address again? They used made up names@mydomain as the from. I set up filters using the known made up names, but is there anything else I should be doing?

Thanks
