My accountant is becoming a top poker player...

Heh heh, no real concern here, but I thought it was cool that my business's accountant just came in 18th at the WPT World Poker Finals at Foxwoods a couple days ago. Outlasted several pros and said he became pretty good buddies with some of them like Doyle Brunson and Daniel Negreanu (both of whom he outlasted). 😀

I dont see the issue as long as he is winning..

If he starts doing bad, then maybe you should start getting worried?

Heh, no I think the issue is him leaving accounting to become a professional card player 😀.

What a bad beat to go out on. Catching the wheel on the river like that.

Taking 18th in a WPT event does not mean he's becoming a top player. Thousands of players outlast big names such as Negreanu and Brunson in tournaments every year, it does not make them all "top players." As for them becoming buddies....metagame.

True, but I guess he's been winning a lot of smaller tournaments around here and at Foxwoods. I guess I may have exaggerated a bit, just a cool little tidbit to me. 🙂

Definitely not the best pics. 😀

Accountants do well in the game. Some of my buddies are accountants and worked with Moneymaker in Nashville before he won the WSOP.
