my 9600gt might be just too close to the 2nd 6850? is it ok?

hey guys like the question i've put up is telling it....i still got my 9600gt which i just wanna try to run it as a dedicated physx although response from various members haven't been very positive about trying that out ....but hey there are people out there using 9500 gt for a dedicated physx so why not a 9600gt?..........

anyways i haven't really tried it yet but as my mobo has got one more pci-e x16 slot running @x4 left...i think i'm gonna put my nvidia card in there....because the rest are 2 pci-e 2.0 @ x1 and 2 pci slots n i don't know if the card will even fit into them cuz it's pin is divided from the side opposite to which is there on the 2 pci slots n the 2 pci-e 2.0 @x1 are too small to fit the card into them...

but the main issue, THE PROBLEM that i think i'll run into is improper cooling as the intake fan(it's intake only, isn't it?..though i have actually confirmed it from people here ..just re-confirming) for the 2nd 6850 in crossfirex will be blocked by it as much as ....being totally blocked by it ....just maybe the screws on my 9600gt which are holding it's fan n heat sink might keep the distance .......
i mean the second card i think will have problem breathing in although i got two 80 mms fans blowing right on each of the AMD CFx cards from front and a 120 mm side fan also blowing on them..... so- SHOULD I EVEN TRY THIS OUT?....i mean i definitely don't wanna hurt my hardware due to any careless that might happen in pulling this stunt off unknowingly.....

or is there a way i can use my nvidia card on any of the other available slots which will be enough for it run properly on for dedicated physx?.....n please don't suggest me melting the plastic on the small pci-e slot so the card can fit into it........i'm not so at playing with fire....
