Compatibility problems if any please let me know!

The power supply is overkill. 400watt Antec will handle the system you have just fine (~$60).

Not sure how much of an audio guy you are, but the chaintech nf4 somes with good onboard 7.1 audio. Save ~$100 by going that route.

Do you plan to do any overclocking?

DFI also comes with good onboard 7.1 audio, if memory serves. Karajan audio module is supposed to be real good.

onboard audio also takes up CPU cycles so... if you really want to squeeze every frame out of your games, get a standalone card

Not as much as most people seem to think.

Spend the extra $100 on a higher-end video card instead of a soundcard, and you'll get a much more drastic increase in framerates.

What I've seen indicates a 2%-3% penalty, max, for fps from onboard audio vs. standalone cards - you'll get a much more drastic increase from upgrading the vid card to the next grade up.

(Edit)
Or, hell, spending that $100 on the next grade or two up of CPU. Not a bad idea there. You can pick up the 3500+ rather than the 3200+ for the price difference - and the affect will be greater than replacing the sound card.

If you absolutely have to have an add-on soundcard, I highly recommend the Chaintech AV-710. EXCELLENT audio quality. And all for $25 no less!

Yeah but i already have a x800xl which is plenty and im a gamer so i want a sound card so i don't lose frame rates. and why spend more money on a 3500 wheni can oc my 3200 past it's speeds.

It's horrible I've got a huge amount of noise... Not to mention the module almost knocks of a cap on the board. Very tight fit...

I doubt that Antec comes with a 24-Pin ATX molex plug... Go with the OCZ...

Save even more money, buy a OEM 2800+.... 200mhz isn't really going to make that much a difference...

Because overclocking is not guaranteed. The 3500 gives you a little bit more freedom when finding your best overclock because you're able to select a multiplier up to 11.
