my 8 yr old got his first stitches

He cut his hand (long story ). I took him to the emergency room and got 2 stitches. He flinched a few time but no crying . Called my mom and she just laughed. I took her to the emergency room a few times. Funny thing was that me and him were just chilling in the emergency room till my wife showed up. And was freaking out.... just wanted to share

The only time I've ever gotten stitches, my dad gave them to me. Beat that!

Wow, 8 is old for stitches for an active boy. My had 17 stitches at 4 years old... like father, like son.

Did you get him a tetanus shot? I can't imagine that the knife they were playing with was too clean and since it went in deep enough to require stitches, a tetanus shot wouldn't be a bad idea.
