only job I could find...

Even with 4yrs of ee (undegrad) actual degree of b.s. in math and a masters in education...

and it's in rough area of phoenix in a very poor school district and they're starting a coop learning reading program that everybody teaches this year. So I'm a math teacher and a reading teacher now.

Yeah, it's going to be ROUGH, but I love kids and wouldn't want to be doing anything else.

...don't quote me on that until the end of the year please : P

I recommend a very large sign that says "No, really. You don't know what real love is yet." and some rules that say if you catch them texting during class, you'll charge them a $1 fee.

On a more serious note, I like touches you've made with the vinyls. The space between the printer and large blue board needs a giant poster or something.

I like it but honestly I hope you aren't terribly attached to everything you hung up. 7th graders (as I recall from my 7th grade days) are pretty god awful so I'd be worried about something be ripped off when you turn around. Oh and it seems like you should be teaching music 😉

yeah, left blank stuff up for student work and some other mandatory things we're supposed to have up : ). I want to have a doodle wall - some kids are excellent doodlers.

God that place looks depressing. Why no posters?

it is kinda depressing...and you should've seen it before i got to it and the new coat of paint. Yeah it's a really really poor school district/area.

well over 90% of the students are on free lunches...not just reduced.

I like the records on the wall, but the classroom looks very beat. Is an institutional/jail kind of vibe to it.

This. Lol, No wonder kids would hate going to school, the place looks like a jail. No offense to your decorating or anything, which I like. Its just the lack of natural sunlight and the white floor/wall/ceiling combo would drive me nuts. Good luck though and hopefully everything works out well.

And what OS are those computers running, Windows 95? 😛

I thought you were a music teacher with those records on the wall, hope you aren't attached to them, I bet those kids will be stealing/breaking them.
