My 7600GT stopped working

So the video just went black one day. I pulled the card and put my slower backup in. I looked at the card and the capacitors appear to be cheap with expansion slits in the top. Well....6 of the capacitors have expanded to the point where the thin metal is split... I can't remember if that means they're bad or what.

It's made by eVGA, but I bought it last year so I doubt it's still under warranty. I'll probably give them a call, but I might just try replacing the caps and see what happens.

Do you still have the required info from purchasing the card ? If you do, I would call EVGA. Chances are they will replace it for you, or maybe even upgrade you to a 8600 model or somthing.

I ordered from ZZF last year. I just can't remember when exaclty. I'd have to look it up.

Edit: I called them up and they asked me for information from the card...I'll have to call them back when I get home. They said they'll have to get the serial number off the card before they can guarantee support. Sounds promising at least... ;P
