I had been running my new system on a half gig of memory the past 6 weeks. Worked out well, played HL2/D3 very well. Then I upgraded to a full gig.

What a difference. The full gig lets me go up to 4xAA and 4xAF no sweat. There is no lag in any of my games anymore, how I was putting up with the small amount of lag before I don't know.

If anyone here is on the fence about getting the full gig and games, don't think twice and go all out on the gig.

Full System Specs

A64 Winchester 3000+ @ 2.53
FULL gig of Kingston pc3200
Chaintech 6600gt
Chaintech NF4U

Hopefully I'm not completely preaching to the choir here :)

Cliff Notes:
Half Gig = Runs Windows Well/Games Decent
Full Gig = Runs Windows Well/Games Well

:p

Glad you finally made the jump.

1Gb matches up better with that A64 as well..

No reason NOT to have 1GB in a gaming machine nowadays..
