Does anyone remember X-Tree Gold? I remember running DOS and just using X-Tree instead of Windows. I didn't switch to Windows until 95, and even then I didn't run it that often. X-tree was capable of multitasking too. You could run say Terminator (comm program for bullitin boards and internet) then run another dos prompt from there, then run xtree again, to run something else or fiddle around. This could go on indefinetely depending on your RAM. I miss the days of X-Tree, Terminator, and BBS systems in ANSI

OP: why did you run windows 1.0 on your laptop when 3.1 was out then? 😕

More like why did I run Windows 1.0 on my laptop when Windows XP was out.... The goal was to try to run 1.0. This was in like 2003 or something. I wanted to try to get the oldest version of windows I could find up and running. I've installed 3.1 before and 3.11. No fun ^^! Must go even more old skool!!
