Hmm... I've broken bones before - arms twice, one was fracture that was confirmed by ortho, the other was compound fracture that anybody could have told you was broken.

I believe I broke my big toe but I never went to the doctor, didn't have a boot or anything I just limped for 2-3 weeks, and avoided using my foot as a tool (kicking stuff to move something) for about 3 months. I still can't bend it as much as the other toe but other than that it is fine.

What made you go to the doctor? Was the pain that much worse than a stubbed toe?

I wasn't exactly sure if it was broken or I tore ligaments. I could bend the toe, but if i moved it side to side it hurt like hell. Also, when I squeezed the toe, it didn't hurt, but when I stood up or tried to walk, it hurt like hell. The break is at the socket, so you couldn't visibly tell that it was broken. Plus the swelling and bruising was reminiscent of when I turned an ankle. No break, but tore the ligaments.

It was a $40 copay, so not that expensive.

I've experienced a fractured ankle, left pinky, thumb, and middle finger, as well as the right pinky and thumb. All basketball related. I stopped going to the hospital after the 2nd finger break because those douches would charge you up the ass for a simple splint.

Should leave the 6th graders alone if you don't want to pay for splints.

Sounds worse than stubbed toe then. When I injured my toe I was in school at the time so it didn't matter if I was dragging my foot around like it was a club. As a professional now I probably couldn't deal with the lack of efficiency and would have gone to the hospital for a boot to improve my mobility.

LOL, I have a medical record like a WoT series novel thick. Let's see what to list... I'll stick to categories I think.

Most of my fingers and toes I've broken at one point if not all of them I can't remember and multiple times usually. Hands, wrists, and ankles check for broken at some point. Both arms below the elbow. Not the elbows. Left arm above the elbow. Right shoulder blade and clavicle. Left shin, no knees, and Right femur.

Haven't broken my pelvis, spine, neck or head. Have broken a few ribs though.

Major surgeries I've had right shoulder (still held together with screws and wires), Hernia, Appendectomy, Right knee meniscus scope + scrape, and my left foot was completely crushed and have about 5 screws holding it together. Pretty much all I can remember off the top of my head. I'm pretty sure there is more though.
