My 3pin PWR LED cannot fit the 2pin thing on mb ?!

I have a Antec SLK3000B case. The front panel power LED cable is a 2pin (but since it has an empty pin between the 2 pins, it has a 3pin size). I thought that is standard.

Now I have a MSI RS480 motherboard. The place where it has two rows of pins for me to plug in those front panel things, the one for power LED is an adjacent 2 pins only (no empty slot between) so I cannot plug that power LED cable in.

What can I do?

I just cut the front panel cable in half, splitting the two pins. Alternately, you can unplug one of the pins and stick it in the middle empty pin, thus creating 2 adjacent pins.
