my 3dfx toolkit wont load properly =(

i cant figure it out, just installed a voodoo 3 3000 with svideo out, but i cant get the toolkit to install properly off the driver cd.. i installed the latest drivers off the 3dfx website before trying to install the toolkit.. the toolkit appears to install properly but when you run the toolkit there are no items inside the dropdown box to change the options for, thus i cant enable tv-out. anyone have this problem before? im gonna try removing the drivers and then install everything from the cd. if that dosent work, im out of ideas
 
anyone have other ideas, i tried removing the card completely and only using the drivers off the cd. no change whatsoever.. the 3dfx website isint much help either
