Okay, I?m just about to drop the hammer and place my order, but I?m still kind of in the air on the 3400+, 754 socket compared to the 3500+, 939 socket. I?m doing this now and can not wait for dec. or jan., plus I just bought a 6800GT so I want to get the most of this card, before eventually one day upgrading to PCI-E.
Can someone give me good reasons to stay with one or the other? 3400+ is cheaper but will be the old socket? 3500+ is more expensive but be more up to date for upgrading, but I don?t plan on getting a PCI-E card for a long while, a year or so, so I would have to buy another motherboard anyway?.so it seems like the 939 socket is not worth it for me.
I plan to do very lite experimental clocking in the future, but I?m a newb at this so I would not be doing very much, any suggestions before I go and drop the cash? Thanks
