alright, so I'm loading up BF2 when all of a sudden the game crashes. I try again, this time the machine overheats and I'm forced to immediately reboot. Eventually, I discovered that for some strange reason my CPU is running at half its usual clock. why, and how can I fix it?

thats not the multiplier thast the HTT multiplier keep searching around . u must have an msi mobo cuz i was confused on my friends motherboard then i found it

i think there are some keystrokes you have to press to get access to those settings. sorry, i dont really know what they are. hopefully someone who does will see this thread. in the mean time, start googlin' .

just finished with a neo plat 2,think its alt control f2 or something like that but theres nothing that will make that happen.bf2 is very buggy so are you sure its not just crashing and as it can take a few minutes to unload all the resourses it uses mybe your just seeing c and c so it looks like your at half speed, cant think of anything else that could have that kind of effect.whats your system specs?

here is a reply from another thread that may help you get into your bios via the "cell menu"

ok so you are running the latest official BIOS which is a good start, with regards to the hidden options, if you enter the cell menu in the BIOS and keep pressing "shift & F2" and "Ctrl & F3" at the same time you will see some more options appear in the CELL menu

Try installing bios 1.6 or 1.3 Those were the best so far. Bios 1.4 and 1.5 also gave me the 5 multiplyer problem. Havent tryed 1.7 or 1.8 because they seem to be buggy. Sometimes enabling cool'n quiet in the bios actually disables it and solves this problem.

just look at the options! fiddle around with EVERY one on the cell page or what ever its one of them i rememeber is labled wierd
