I'm using 177.79 it crashes randomly in UT3 after some hours, my computer just goes into a coma, I hear this repeating sound and no signal on the monitor, I'm using Win XP SP3 in the 1st HD, on the 2nd HD I have Vista sp1 x64, it doesn't crash in Vista, but most game performs like sh1t in Vista

I tried updating to 180.70 it seems to crash quicker, any ideas?

Is your OC stable...i'd recheck that.

Your card might be overheating too...what are temps?

Could just be another awesome driver issue...i had so many when UT3 first came out...took months & months for nVidia to finally figure out how to make functional drivers for UT3.

FWIW, i use 178.24 & they are fine for me in UT3, though i had some lovely pink textures in L4D for a while one night :frown:

I'm kinda scared to change them though, as god only knows what new issues will crop up...

I had pink textures in L4D before. I had a similar problem in Counter Strike Source. I don't think it is the nvidia drivers or overheating though. You should try the same test I did if you load a new game to many times in any source games for some reason the game starts to become more likely to develop texture issues. I have no idea why but it always happens to me if I change servers to much.

As suggested above, try running your card at completely stock clocks for a while and see if the problem still exists.

Yep but not anymore. Just look at Far Cry 2 it runs actually a lot faster in Vista! To bad all games can not do that!
