My 27" dell is broken. Want a new monitor.

Hello guys. The LCD you see in my sig was hit by a mouse (mini family members fight) and it broke. It is gone. It was great and served me very well.

Now I need to get a new monitor. I'm now using this temp 22" acer monitor and I can't stand the color quality/brightness/contrast. Anyways, I'm not planning to pay for large monitor this time. So, I think I'll just get a 24". Main uses are web browsing, word processing, youtube, image editing and little video editing and of course playing some of the latest titles(See video card in sig).

One reason I want a 24 inch monitor is the small size of text/icons associated with 2560x1440 resolutions.

The Dell UltraSharp U2412m comes to mind, I like it but I can't find it locally. What other options do you recommend beside the dell? The problem is that I can't order online for some time.

Can you recommend me something decent for a good price?

Many thanks.

Im pretty sure you can get that monitor from Best Buy. They won't carry that particular model instore but can ship it to your local store for free.

I only use dell myself so I can sympathize with you. Call your local stores and see if they can get it for you if you can't order from dell directly.

I'm going to get the Dell U2412M myself, as it seems to be the best 24", 1920x1200 IPS LCD for the buck, much like my current Dell 2209WA was for 22" screens at the time.

I'd suggest trying to see if what lava said would work.
