Glad we got that straightened out!! All I am trying to say is my Camry was made in Kentucky on a new design cycle and it was awful. The older Japanese models, like my mothers from 1996 were built much better. They made have fixed the issues with todays model, but 07-08 were simply put terrible vehicles.

I am pretty sure the new one is even worse.
I have not seen too much good about it, and I've been in one. It is a pretty shitty car this new Camry. People won't admit it yet but Toyota has started its downfall. They're running on brand reputation at this point, I think.

I am starting to look at Nissan Altima or the Mazda CX-5 as possible replacements down the line.

Just got my car back tonight. Rides fine and the engine looked decent. Service advisor took pictures and engine looked clean. Will probably have a better idea about over the next week.

Having owned a couple of Altimas, though older ones, my 05 Camry is much more sophisticated, tight, and better all around than the Nissans...good luck with the new engine.
