these are mostly issues that nag my personal tech life and cause me much sadness... feel free to comment or post your own...
1. verizon gets a bluetooth phone (there are cdma bluetooth phones)
2. wireless internet gets cheaper... for example, 7-10 bucks a day at a hotspot? wtf? on a side note, i predict smaller cafes will be starting to see an increase in business because they provide free hotspots and not the tmobile or at&t expensive-as-hell-unless-you're-making-bank ones.
3. cell phone towers get steroids... probably will never happen but i really hate not getting reception because i'm in a building (not all buildings do this, but when it happens it's annoying... i dunno it only seems to happen with newer buildings... does 802.11a/b/g interfere with cdma?)
4. ibm x-series drops $500 in price 😀 (in my dreams...)
5. vga screens (only toshi e800/e805 has this right now... needs maturity), longer battery life for pdas
6. non-volatile memory technology improves (speed) to the point where pdas can do away with volatile memory altogether... and eventually (like 10 years from now... ha!) improves capacity to the point where normal computers and laptops can do that too.
7. bluetooth et al gets a much larger foothold and matures... imagine a world where your mp3 player stops playing when your phone starts ringing... cordlessly.
8. sub-compact digital camera optics improve to where they are at the point just-compact digital camera optics are today... and off-to-shot time is reduced to 1.5 seconds or less
